Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Ron McVey has been actively involved in the Hidalgo County community.

Through personal experiences, Ron has learned valuable lessons during challenging times, which have shaped his strong character and determination to always move forward.

As a resident of Weslaco for the past seven years and a father of six children, Ron understands the importance of building a thriving community for families of all backgrounds.

With a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from UT-Pan Am and over 30 years of experience across public, private, and healthcare sectors, Ron brings a diverse set of skills to his candidacy.

As the owner of H2Oak Consulting, LLC in Weslaco, Ron has provided exceptional business development resources to both public entities and private Texas-based companies.
